Meet the Team
Chris Donovan (FMAAT)
Chris has worked in accountancy for many years, qualifying as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 1983. He met David Atyeo in 1991 at a firm of accountants in Bridport, where they worked closely together for eight years before deciding that they could do it on their own. He and David set up Donovan Atyeo in 1999 and have never looked back. Any spare time that Chris has is taken up almost entirely by football, his four daughters and a combination of both as two of his daughters are keen footballers .
David Atyeo (FMAAT)
It was evident from a very early age that David was good with numbers and it was easy for him to take the step into accountancy, qualifying in January 1995. Like Chris, setting up the partnership from scratch has given him a broad understanding of various aspects of running a business, enabling him to relate well to the needs of their clients. When he’s not working he likes going with his partner, Jane, to famous restaurants around the country, then walking it all off with his dog afterwards.
Matt Lathey (MAAT)
Matt originally came to Donovan Atyeo on work experience, and eventually was taken on full time in July 2002. Since then he has attained Modern Apprenticeship and National Vocational Qualifications in accounting, and in 2006 he became a full Member of the AAT. Matt is a keen music fan and travels the country attending gigs.
Simon Hyett
Like Matt, Donovan Atyeo were first introduced to Simon through school work experience. Simon was quick to pick up the basics of accounting and became a full time employee in April 2005. He is currently studying for his AAT qualifications and any spare time left over is spent playing football, watching football, eating, sleeping and talking football.
